More sustainable private and corporate catering events
At Queen & Whippet, we are constantly improving the way we deliver at private and corporate catering events. We have always believed that sustainability for our organisation should reflect in everything that we do, from how we source our ingredients responsibly to the ingredients themselves and even how we look after our staff. That is why we have chosen to frame our ESG efforts using the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
We are fully committed to promoting sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all.
As part of our ESG efforts, we have applied for accreditation with the Living Wage Foundation, a campaigning UK organisation which aims to persuade employers to pay a living wage. This organisation accredits employers who pay at the rate of the “living wage”. We want people to know that our trusted serving staff are a large part of the reason behind Queen and Whippet’s ability to deliver high-end, fuss-free private and corporate catering events.
We are committed to supporting sustainable consumption and production patterns.
We take pride in working with exceptional West Country producers, ensuring that our ingredients travel as little as possible. Our private and corporate event catering is designed around seasonality, reducing the need for imported goods while delivering peak freshness and flavour.
We carefully select our suppliers based on their sustainability credentials and ensure that every ingredient meets our ethical standards. We also offer an array of vibrant, innovative plant-based dishes as a core part of our menus.
We are committed to conserving and sustainably using the oceans, seas and marine resources.
We offer sustainable fish options that ensure responsible sourcing and minimal environmental impact. Choices include haddock, hake, mackerel, sardines and farmed shellfish (mussels, clams, oysters, and scallops). Furthermore, we avoid single-use plastics, instead opting for compostable alternatives or reusable cutlery whenever possible.
