We have an opportunity for a full-time Head Chef to join our friendly and ambitious team at our Bristol-based event catering company.

Salary in the region of £40k DOE

About us:

Based in East Bristol and covering events across the South West, we are one of the region’s leading premium event caterers. 

As preferred suppliers at several high-end venues and specialists in private marquee catering, much of our work is in weddings. However, we have an increasing level of corporate and off-season work and some exciting new projects in the pipeline. 

About you:

You’re a dynamic and hands-on head chef, ideally experienced in large-scale event catering and dedicated to providing exceptional dining.

 – Proven experience in a head chef leadership role

 – Strong awareness of trends, seasonality and high-end presentation with demonstrable skills across several culinary styles 

 – A great communicator, keeping the kitchen a friendly, professional and motivated environment

 – Able to spot and resolve problems quickly, calmly and effectively

 – Passionate about sustainable food practices

 – Full driving license and willing & able to drive a fridge van

About the role:

This is a new role, supporting the director and exec chef across all projects.

 – Working with the directors to create innovative Modern British menus using the best seasonal and local produce

 – Managing, training and inspiring a kitchen team both in the commercial prep kitchen and on location

 – Ordering produce and supplies and controlling costs

 – Responsibility for prep schedules, rotas and top-level hygiene compliance

 – Responsibility for documenting recipes, allergens

 – Full-time with work-life-balance-friendly daytime-only prep days and a commitment to later and longer shifts on event days
